Technology Planning and New Product Development with Textmining and Webmining
Fraunhofer INT
Improved performance for your innovation process
The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis (INT) provides web-based tools and approaches based on Textmining, Webmining and Text Classification in order to support the process of technology planning and new product development.New technological ideas from recent technological developments (technology push) and new product ideas from current consumer needs (market pull) are extracted automatically from texts and from the Internet to advance the process of innovation in the enterprise. Further, an assessment of the innovation potential of new ideas is done.
The current technological environment is analyzed by text classification methods. Technological trends from the perspective of the company are shown by use of the Compared Cross Impact approach.
The identification of profitable customers by use of Latent Semantic Indexing and prediction modeling support the acquisition process of a company.
The web-based tools are based on scientific publications. A free trial is available for each tool.
